2k RPM idle seems a bit high to me, tho this is my first ski/2-stroke so I'm not sure. Also I noticed that I have to rev up rather high to get movement(about3-3.5k RPM). Then the power really comes on at about 5k, and pulls hard to about 7k. Does this sound correct to you guys?

The idele on the trailer is about 3,000 RPM's, because it doesn't have teh load ofteh water on it. IN the water it should be about 1500 RPM's. If you want to turn it down a little bit. The Idle is on the plate where th Throttle cable connects. It has a spring on the idle screw that adjust both carbs at the same time. Only turn it a little at a time like 1/16 turn. Clockwise turns it up. If you still have questions give us a shout. Do you have a operator or shop manual? If not here’s an idea for you. You could join as a "premium member". Thanks Karl! I will have to look into the manuals. It would be nice to have all the info on hand. It will have to wait tho, as I'm about to go abuse the ski all weekend:) This 100mile drive every weekend is starting to take a tool on me..:ack:

I ran it this weekend, and to my surprise it idles at 1500rpm now.. I did some river riding, and it turns out that it sometimes still idles at 2000rpm. Tho when i flick the throttle, it drops to 1500rpm most of the time. I guess it might need a new cable..

I also broke the steering cable this weekend, and the ski only turns right:rofl: 13 miles back to the docks was a bit of a pain to say the least..

This brings me to a new question. There is two steering cables on the ski. I'm pretty sure they are exactly the same, but I wanted to make sure. Am i correct, or is there a small difference?

I just noticed that the cables have part numbers on them, but my ski is 100 miles away from me so I can't just check.

PS- I also sank it.. twice. First time we flipped, and engine sucked in some water. The second time I forgot to put the drain plugs in..:ack: All seems fine now, and all it took to fix was pulling the spark plugs.

I loves my Sea-Doo!!:hurray:

Thanks again Karl! Always appreciated.

Edit: Yep there is two, and they're the same. Too bad there is no part numbers, or I would try to get it off ebay to save a buck..

Karl, one more if you don't mind.. I actually edited in while you were responding. Is there a way to get the part numbers? Are they available in the premium section?

If you go to the reva motor sport website they will have part numbers and prices to use for references. Also for part numbers is " www.seadoo.com "
The seadoo forum is working on a parts company that will be competitive with all the companies. It should be available soon...hopefully this week.
