I am 5 almost 6 hours into the break in period and am still worried about the oil concumption. i took it out today and still ran a premix just incase 40:1. I have checked and on the rear cylinder there are tiny tiny air bubbles and i can see them move into the oil injection pump but can not see them moving in the front cylinder. Any way i ran my sky today for about 2 hours and only saw a change of about a milimeter of oil change running at about 3/4 throttle. Both small lines are full.

Variable rate pump....

Because it's a varible rate injection pump, you'll be surprised at how little oil you are going to use. That's why I like it. With premix, your using way to much at idle, and the correct amount at WOT. So, with the oil pump, you will only see consumption to the speeds your moving.

If you have doubt, run another tank of premix. If your still in doubt, try this.

Remove your air box. There are only a few allen head bolts holding it on. When all is removed, put the flame arrestor back in. Now, with that big thing out of your way, look with a mirror, under the carbs where your injection lines go in. While running the premix, remove one of those oil lines. If you have a baby food jar, or something similar, place that line into that glass jar. Now, start the motor. Let it run for a while. If your looking closely, you'll see the oil barely running out of that line. Don't expect it to "squirt" out or run out like a water hose. It only has a very slight amount that will barely come out. Leave the motor run for about 5 minutes. After that, you may have about an 1/8 tsp of oil, if that. But you'll know that the pump is working.

Did you syncro the pump to the carbs? With that mirror and the throttle closed, look on the front of the motor. The cams edge of the pump should be in line with a round (about 3/16" dia) knot with a line going through it from top to bottom. Its at 12 oclock on the engine, above the cam.

Thanks, when i had the motor rebuilt by "FairChild" Full Bore he syncronized the motor and all with the rotary valve. When i sent the motor he timed the engine and everything, and with this company you send the magneto and everything attached, and they time it, also you get the same block back that you sent. Now how do i do this other thingyour saying with the cam?

May not be necessary...

If you sent the motor in for a complete rebuild, then they syncronized your oil pump to your carbs, I'm sure. That's part of the procedure in the shop manual.
But if you sent the motor in and when it came back, you installed it, then who bled the oil pump and oil lines?
After putting in a new motor, bleeding the oil lines is very important. Has this been done at all? If not, and you say your seeing oil bubbles in the line, then you may need to prime the system.
If your seeing air in the oil line that's running to the top of the oil tank, well, that's normal.'
Did they guarantee your motor?
There is practically no way for me to instruct you on syncronizing your oil pump to your carbs. I'm sure they did it if you sent the entire engine to them..........
