I have a 97 GSX with 787 engine. I replaced the trim module with a new one. The trim motor works when you connect it to battery. The module just clicks when you hit the buttons, but the trim motor won't do anything. Fuses are good. What do I check now. Thanks!

Sounds like mine. From what I understand, it must be a VTS module problem. On mine, the fuse blows almost immediately after installation. I tried a larger fuse and caused smoke from the back of the VTS--I reckon this isn't good!

Maybe the connections to the switch/up down. Id look there

Relays.....

This seems to be a constant occurring problem in the VTS of older model skis. Must be from water. These electrical systems are water resistant but not water proof.

Your relay is probably gone. The motor works independently of the electrical relay stop system.....there are switches that make up when the trim reaches it's furthest travel.............

I didn't see any relays. I had already checked the button switches (up down)and followed all of the wiring. I new my module (VTS) was bad, so I put in a new one. The motor was good. After installing the module, I could here the module clicking. Checked the power to the motor, no juice. Replaced the fuse and it works. Could not tell the fuse was even blown. I'm happy now. My son can"t wait to try it out. Thanks :)
