97 GSX guages

I have 2 97 GSX's and the guages on both of them work, there just not accurate on MPH. And the fuel guage dosent work either. Seadoos have floaters in the gas tank right? Do you think I need a new one? And does anybody know why the MPH guage is inacurrate? Any Ideas?

Check the rear of the boat where the nozzle is. There should be a small black paddle wheel with a pair of pickups. If that wheel is missing or damaged, then it cannot send the right speed info to the gauge.

Fuel reading problem could be one of several:
1. Float won't float anymore
2. Magnets on float fell off
3. Circuit board's fuse in the sender needs to be be bridged/replaced

I checked the wheel it spinned and wasnt damaged at all. And if the float wont float anymore or the magnets fell off of the float how would i know that was the problem besides just the fuel guage not working?
