I have a 97 gsi that ran great until a year ago. The machine runs good but it suddenly dies out, but starts right up. It seemed at first that it was dying out when I let off the gas. Now, I'm not sure. I've had a new carb put on, a key made and a thermostat changed. The mechanics just keep trying things at my expense and to no avail. The last thing mentioned was a "brainbox."

I hate to keep putting money into an old machine, but I can't buy anything newer at this time. Any ideas or similar problems? Thanks.....

I would find a new technician to work on your seadoo. It sounds like you need to remove the carburetors and clean them. If you're careful and don't tear or damage the diaphragms you won't need to buy a rebuild kit. Pay attention to the internal filters too. Also check the fuel vent tube from the gas tank to be sure it isn't clogged. A quick check would be to unscrew the filler cap it when it happens. You will hear a suction sound when unscrewing it. Then it should start. There is no thermostat in a seadoo. If the MPEM,(Multi Purpose Electronic Module) was bad, it would blow fuses and not run at all.
I hope this info helps.
