Hey all I have just bought this boat. took it to the lake when it was about 50 degrees out and both motors started and ran like a scalded dog. Now that its warmed up the motors start kinda hard and yesterday on the lake it took it over a mile on the water at WOT to get to 5000-6000 rpms and neither motor sounds very good like its not getting fuel or something but it will flood on me from time to time......Ive cleaned all the rave valves put in new fuel filters checked the intake for clogs and put in new plugs.....Im at a loss any help would be great.......BTW this is happening on both motors. this boat did set for a could years do you think a carb rebuild would fix the problem?? or do you think its an electrical issue?
thanks in advance.

Update........checked compression.......
starboard motor 50 on front Cyl....60 on rear
Port motor 110 front and 110 rear.......
What do you all suggest?????

Check compression with another gauge to confirm. 150-155 is a new 787 compression. Sounds like you need 2 new top ends, and absolutely rebuild carbs with oem mikuni kits. Perfect carbs wont make up for worn out motors. I would also make sure your oil injection is working right.

Its a new compression tester but ya i know they can be off...... the one motor that is showing 110 is a newer motor...unknown when it was rebuilt...Its a different color is the only reason I know its been gone thru.....is there a place that you would order the Carb kits and top ends? I have a friend thats a mechanic that he said he would help me rebuild them.
