Hello, my first boat ride in this 97 Challenger yesterday. AWESOME!!! Couple minor issues but the most difficult to deal with is when the throttle is Wide Open to start the boat wants to go in reverse even though the drive is in neutral. The main problem is when the engine is cold and I want to keep it running it wants go backwards. It is fine when the throttle is in the lowest setting, the boat doesn't move, it is in neutral.

Any quick adjustments with out taking the throttle levers out?

Check that the reverse bucket is in the correct position. Also, remember that the impellers are always spinning, so the boat will not stay still like a prop drive will. My boat likes to turn.

On a side note, I am about an hour south of you and I haven't put the boat in the water yet because it is too cold for me.

Thanks for your reply... OMG, what a fun boat! It is hard not to ride WOT all the time. I am just trying to get used to the start in Reverse for now. I am out on Canadian Lakes near Big Rapids, MI. I guess you are somewhere around GR. I am having a little problem getting it up on plane sometimes but wow, what fun!
