97 Challenger 787 Oil Injection Cable

Quick question... long before I bought this boat, a previous owner had converted it to taking premixed fuel and disconnected the oil injection.. not sure of the reasoning. While working on other things, I noticed the injection cable is broken. Since the oil system is disconnected, is this cable necessary, or can I remove it completely.

if it's premix now you don't need the cable, but leave the oil tank in there and the feed hoses that go to the rotary valve on the side of the block, you must have those. They are just gravity fed into the rotary

Thank you! Those were removed as well, so I'll need to look into how to replace them. Obviously, then, I'll need to maintain oil in the tank, correct?
