Ok, posted last year about 787 ses premium rebuilt engine hanging at 5000 RPM unless it was burped with choke or jumped a wake etc. rave valves new style and rebuilt, new impeller and ring accelerator pump adjusted and working. was told it was running lean rebuilt carbs over winter set to factory specs. found out the problem probably was someone didn"t put a gasket on Mag carb to engine... ( probably me ) put it in for the first time this year and "voila" problem gone! ran great for a few mins then cut out down to 4000 rpm and struggled, limped in to camp with popping , misfires and stalling. Pulled plugs both wet and black, pulled airbox and spark arrestor have oil pooling in arrestor frame, maybe from popping back? replaced plugs and it still runs real rough and popping.. low speed set at 1 turn each high speed set at 0 turns each.... this is not a boat to own if one gets vertigo when you work upside down!!! AAAHHHGGG any ideas will be appreciated, hoping i don't lose another summer with this boat...
