Just reinstalled the two engines (didn't do anything to them) after cleaning the bilge and one engine shuts down right after start up, about four seconds, like you pulled the key. If I have the other started (which is fine) it will shut down both at the same time. It will start at any rpm also and still shuts down at four sec. The only thing I notice is the oil light shuts off at the same time and the tach stops at the last rpm, I don't think the beeper work because I have never heard one. Do you have any ideas, great compression new battery good fuel good ground, so I'm assuming some type of electrical prob. Im banging my head at this point, thanks so much for any help.

And change your beeper, there's a thread here about using the radio shack version for 6 bucks. At least that way you'll know if its trying to tell you something.

Could post be the problem if one engine runs fine. Its one motor only that has the issue, the other is consistent. The lanyard looks shinny and clean on the insdie .but ill try cleaning it up some with the post

I read your post to mean that it will shut down both at the same time? I've read that a pencil eraser is good for cleaning up the post. But if its only shutting one down, seems kind of weird. So, if both are running at the same time, will it shut down one or both?

If I start the faulty one it's shuts down at four seconds but if I just start the good one it will run until I shut it down. If I start the good motor and then start the other faulty one it will shut both down simultaneously

It's unlikely a fuel issue as the puck up doesn't have a lot of known issues. Sounds electrical.

Yes... it's electrical. Besides... the engines have separate fuel feeds.

I would still clean your lanyard post. Can't hurt. But... before we can move forward... you need a new beeper. You can get some basic diagnostics out of it. And.... since you say the lights are shutting off, and both engines will shut down together.... I'm sure it's beeping a code when it happens.

Really dr h? I would sware I have a single pick up and then two take offs but I know ur the fuel guru so ill just take ur word for it.
