Few problems. First I am having an issue w the left motor when i throttle past 2500 the engine bogs down, if i play w the throttle a bit it will pick up and run GREAT. Second, once i figured out how to work the left engine i rode for about 2 miles then the right engine shut down completely and wouldnt start back up. when i would hit the start button the tach would only go to a little over 1000 rpms...very confused. I just bought the boat but the guy didnt run it all season so its got some bugs to get out. any help would be appreciated

Sounds like carbies need cleaning!:) Common on these boats.
Was the fuel changed out? may need fresh fuel.
If the motor turns at 1000rpm on starter that is good!!
Grey fuel lines need to be changed and fuel filters need to be cleaned (inline and small carby filters).
Great boat, once you get the bugs out you will love it!!!!

:agree:It sounds like you need to remove the carburetors and clean them. If you're careful and don't tear or damage the diaphragms you won't need to buy a rebuild kit. Pay attention to the internal filters too. If you have gray fuel lines you need to replace them with black fuel lines available from auto parts stores like Auto Zone. Measure the length you need and bring a sample with you so you get the correct size. Replace one at a time so you don’t get them mixed up. If you need clamps replace them too. Use small stainless steel clamps also from the auto parts store.

The High Speed screw is set to "0". These have a plastic cap on them to keep them from being turned any more than 1/4 turn. The Low Speed screw is set to 1 1/2 turns. The screw has a pin through it. If you need to adjust the idle speed do NOT use the low speed screws to adjust it. Use the IDLE Screw to adjust both carbs at the same time. When adjusting the carbs be sure both carbs are in sync.
I hope this info helps you out.

thanks guys!

Thanks so much guys. I am on my way to rebuild the carbs now! I also heard that cleaning the RAVE valves is a good place to look. The fuel lines are the black ones so those should be good. Excited about getting this running. You guys are great! thanks again. will let you know how it goes
