just wondering if it is easier to buy a complete built jet pump, impeller and wear ring and do a quick change out or buy the parts to rebuild the pumps and impellers that I already have on the boat? If I do a quick change out what is the recommended place to buy the complete assembly and what kind of impeller do I want for this boat? w use it to pull a tube with at the lake.

as far as I know seadoo doesnt sell an assembled pump. even the shops assembled the pumps.
You would need a few SD tools to simplify the install of the bearings and seals. bc if you canibalize any of it, it won`t last long at all..

now you have to weigh in the cost of parts VS a complete pump...

currently I`m running 2 complete pump assemblies from SBT with my solas 15/21`s.

you will still need an impeller tool to remove/install an impeller.

I have the same theory, extra pumps just in case one gets lunched...

I`m also using SBT`s delrin wear rings for a while now, no complaints...

I would think the stock/OEM impeller would still work for you. If you pitch down, you`ll lose top end speed by a few MPH. The twin engine challengers have enough umpf to pull a tube as is... however if your really loading down, then go with a smaller pitch.

did you buy the complete pump from SBT with the impellers on it already or did you buy the pumps and install the impellers? do you remember about how much you paid?

I recently purchased a new set up from SBT....Drive shaft, drive shaft rebuild kit, pump housing and impeller tool. Installed all yesterday and will be testing tomorrow. I must say I was disappointed that the replacement pump was plastic veins instead of brass like the one I removed. I have not heard complaints of them not holding up so I will stick with this for now. I plan on rebuilding the one I removed to have a back up on hand.

If I had known I would have tried to either locate a good used or rebuilt pump, but that's me.
