Both 787s bog and die with slow throttle up and shake with fast throttle up. Neither can exceed 5K but they both run fine up to about 3K.
Am running premix, XPS syn blend, 40:1. Experienced problem on trailer in water. One engine has continuous water flow from pipe and the other has intermittent water flow from pipe. Is it an electrical problem?

Thanks for the input Rog. I got them both screaming. Corrected a few things. Took off trailer and onto river, fixed forward movement of shift lever to lock in. Last, but certainly not least, put the air filters back onto carbs.

Did you check internal carbs filters?
I having problem with hi speed no power and white smoke .. i will need check carb filter and
Oil pump.. i may go to pre-mix
But I dont know yet how the rotary valve will get lubrication when you convert to pre-mix, i know pistons and rings gets from the gas and oil... but lower case how oil can get there!
Can you explain?

No. Did not check internal carb filters as it was running good and had rebuilt carbs several years ago. I switched to premix by removing that little white rotor plug that turns the pump from the flywheel or crank. Just leave the oil lines going to oil tanks in lower part of engine block and rotor shaft is lubricated. I just leave enough oil to reach bottom of oil tank. Regarding white smoke I had problem at low RPM. Found out I had to remove engine and reseal case. Fun fun.

Honestly there is no good reason to go premix on these they are reliable and save a ton of oil.

Understood. I may switch back to injection once I've nailed everything else down. It is good to remove that variable for now though

You can’t because you still have to supply the rotary gear chamber with oil.
