Stop putting in a bigger fuse, that will just create more problems. This sounds like the diode in the MPEM going bad. You have 3 options:
1. attempt to repair the diode (I don't know if the boat MPEM is the same as the PWC MPEM's tho) <edit> another forum has pictures of the repair
2. Buy a used MPEM for big $$$$ as they are no longer made.
3. Contact [MENTION=41828]Minnetonka4me[/MENTION] for a conversion kit
Also, this is the PWC section. Hopefully [MENTION=31048]LouDoo[/MENTION] or [MENTION=43374]Coastiejoe[/MENTION] can move this to the boat section.
