97 callenger wont go

i left the dock, hit full speed for about 20 seconds of wot then both engines lost all power like they ran out of gas. the fuel light had been on but i could see plenty of fuel in tank so i had enough to get the boat accross the lake. managed to get her back to dock and added 10 gallons gas. plugs were fouled so changed em. still wont rev up now wot only goes to about 3000 rpm
thinking either gas issue or could i have hit a patch of seaweed that could do this?
it has to be something that effects both motors at same time not fuel filters, a-ok

maybe the shift lever switch is bad. does it seem to be that the rev limiter is on? At 3000 rpms it will run with a miss if it is on. any rpms lower than 3000rpms should be smooth. just a guess. :cheers:

Plugs?

You said plugs were fouled. Do you mean all the plugs were fouled? That would be coincidence.

When was the last time the RAVE's were cleaned? What about your carbs and accelerator pumps. When was the last time maintenance done on them?

Do you do the yearly maintenance requirments yourself or do you have a shop do them for you?
