96 GSX Jet Pump/Impeller toast??

It's a GSX 787.

I took off the steering cone and impeller this morning to inspect the wear ring and impeller. I put up the SeaDoo last summer after sucking rocks up into the Doo, just after replacing all the grey fuel lines and rebuilding the carbs (tips from you guys). Happy birthday to me! I'm the only one who DIDN'T get to ride it. :ack:

I'm not a racer. I just want to ride. Question. Should I ship this off to impros to be reconditioned or should I just buy a used one on ebay that's in better shape than mine?

I was able to measure the largest gap between the impeller and wear ring. 0.145".

You will need to replace the wear ring, and the impeller you can send out to be fixed or just replace it thats up to you, in the world of boats thats not to bad but for a pwc that impeller has seen much better days.
