I was wondering why on just one exhaust rave valve i get a watery exhaust leakage from under the black cap with the red dot. Why is that. I replaced the o-ring and gasket before. Because it was doing it before too. Also by adjust the red dot screw on the black cap what does that do?

The red cap screw adjusts the rpm range that the Rave Valve opens up to allow the rpm's to increase. There is a debate as which is better...all the way up or down. The stock setting is all the way down. You can adjust it from there. Both should be the same. I would check the carbon build up on the guillotines as it should be cleaned annually anyway.

I don't mean to scare you, but the boat that Karl sold me did the same thing. It also ended up melting the entire rave assembly after a couple trips, and on about the 6th trip out, it threw a rod.

Now, I don't know if all of these were related, but it seems fishy that the same cylinder that was melting and leaking at the RAVE was the one that threw the rod.

I never did figure out what was causing it. At one point, I had replaced the ENTIRE RAVE assembly and pulled one off my XP for a trip.

I think the problem was in the cylinder, not the RAVE assembly. But like I said, I cannot prove it.

Keep an eye on it.
