96 SPX starts then instantly bogs down

Hey everyone I’m having an issue where my ski will not run consistently, it starts quickly but dies instantly like it’s starving for fuel. For context I rebuilt the carbs with OEM kits. The adjustment jets were cleaned and installed back to spec. (LOW: 1-1/4 HIGH:0) Tested pop off pressure, 52-3 on both carbs which is high but within the spec (36-60) Replaced fuel lines, selector, and fuel filter assembly. Thanks for the help.

What springs did you use?
Did you replace the needles and seats?
Did you check for leak down?

You should not use the springs in the kits as they are wrong for Seadoo.
You should be using the 80 gram black spring and they do not come in the kits and that would explain your high pop-off.

Leak down is when you put 10 psi pressure on the fuel line of the carbs to make sure you have no leaks after a rebuild.

The springs in my kit were black ones not sure if they were 80 grams. I tried putting in the springs that were in the carb and it wouldn’t pop off over 60 psi. I’ll look into performing the leak test.

Where did you get your kits?
From OSD Seadoo then he includes the correct springs based on your model.

Yes just check leakdown.
I checked leak down and it’s good, But I found the problem the pulse line was pinched I need to get some more stiff tubing for it. It’s running now but really rough and if I give it a little throttle the RPMs jump super high. Does this mean it just needs to be tuned?

Sounds like you have an air leak.

I would double check the carb to intake gaskets.
