So prior to this my SPX didn't want to start, Today i replaced the rectifier, the ski started first crank and idle for about 10 seconds then died, what I noticed was their was no throttle response, After it died I tried starting again but it doesn't want to, can anyone give advice?

start with the basics when it doesnt want to start. last time fuel system was gone through? i.e. strainer/o-ring, selector switch, fuel lines, carburetors

Pull the spark plugs, put a little squirt of pre-mix into each hole, re-install the plugs and wires,,,try to start it....if she fires for a moment....start working on the fuel system......CARB(s) most likely the issue but give the entire fuel system paths a good going over....

So last year all fuel lines were changed, this year i rebuilt the carbs adjusted to factory spec, changed the selector. so the whole fuel system should be good but i will double check.

Ok you are on the right track. Another easy thing to check is spark. i had a similar experience where it started up and died on me and i was all of a sudden without spark. Replaced the spark plug boots and trimmed a 1/4” off the coils and was good to go

Yeah so i replaced the rectifier, and it started up, the problem not is when cranking i have to hold throttle to start.

Re-set,,,go thru the carbs with a fine toothed comb,,,also,,,check that there are no kinks in the fuel lines up front,
