Hello, I just pulled sportster out of storage and started up.

i noticed when i pull up the throttle the engine accelerates like expected. BUT, when i get to the halfway point the engine seems to be maxed out and when I go from 1/2 way to full throttle the engine does not seem to accelerate anymore, but does make a louder and more full humming sound and vibrates a little more. BUT, there is not really much more power coming out of it.

Plugs were changed in winter, i have no tachometer.

Do you think i have a problem, suggestions?

thanks

is this in the water or out?

If you are out of the water... that engine is bouncing off the rev-limiter. Without a load, it will reach max RPM quick.

Don't worry about it. Like I said... it's bouncing off the rev-limiter becasue there is no load.

Also... DO NOT DOUBLE POST !
