My '96 speedster is having a problem reading that it's in nuetral and therefore the boat will not start. I've tested the nuetral switch in the gear shifter and it works. I reconnected all of the wires from the gear shifter to the electornic module in the engine compartment and the boat will still not start. When I put the lanyard in, I get the 2 beeps...but then when I push the start button it gives me 4 short beeps which the manual says is because I'm not in nuetral. Does this mean I have a electonic module problem, if so, how much can I expect one to cost?

What I would do it disassemble the control again and with the switch in you hands try to start the boat. I had the same problem on my 97 challenger and it would stick when it wanted to...cleaned or not. This way you can see if it is or not working first hand. I left my shifter in reverse or forward when not in use to keep the spring in the switch from sticking.
