I've always wanted a jet boat. Well I finally picked one up last weekend! It's kind of a rat... I paid a little over 4K for it and probably should have looked a little harder. The seats need to be redone, the yellow plastic is faded, and it's just generally worn looking. But it has two new engines, new cables, wear rings, and some other things I've forgotten about. After talking it out last weekned however I feel it was well worth it!

It sounds like you may have done well new engines and new parts sure help out. After new upholstry and a few other isues you may have a almost new boat.

Your hooked!........

Yep, heard that one before. You'll be blowing your weekends working on it, like we do. I mean, you'll be playing at day, bringing it in for cleaning and ready for playing the next day.

Then, looking for seats and stuff.

I saw a set of the yellow seat backs for an old speedster on ebay a while back. I think they were for sale by the "great lakes skipper". Look his store up on ebay, you may find some cheap stuff for your boat thru him.

Thanks! I've got all the plastic stripped off it now, and the seats out of it. I'm dropping off the seats at the upholsterers today, and I'm thinking about changing all the yellow stuff to blue or red....
