Hello group. So my owners manual suggests I take the Speedster into the dealership to get the fuel filter replaced, however, I'd like to try it myself. So questions are: (1) where is it? (2) since there are two motors, are there two filters? (3) is it possible to replace w/o going to the dealer? Thanks for the help.

Hello,

I have changed my fuel filters many times and consider it routine do-it-yourself maintenance however it really comes down to how handy you are.
I highly recommend that you purchase the shop manual for your boat which you can get access to through this forum (click on the "SeaDoo Manuals" link at the top of your browser page under the forum logo). The manual will describe the process for changing the filters and you can decide from there if you are up to it. The manuals are very comprehensive and serve as a great reference for routine and non-routine maintenance as well as part numbers.

2 engines = 2 fuel filters
Mine are tucked in the area under the ski pylon right above the fuel tank so I would check there.

I order my parts from World of Powersports (http://216.37.204.206/wps/Seadoo_oem/Seadoo_JB.asp) but others may have alternative sources.
