I have a 96 speedster that is draining the battery. The bilge seemed to run constantly so I disconnected that harness. When I connect the battery I hear a faint mechanical sound which I suspect is the cause of the battery drain. One of the posts mentions that the bilge has a water sensor, could that be my problem? I had the boat at a Seadoo dealer for this problem but they didn't resolve it and don't want to work on the boat any more. I suspect they weren't savvy enough to figure out the electrical problem and were just washing their hands of it by saying they won't work on it again. When I put it in storage last winter it was running great but the batteries wouldn't stay charged from week to week (new batteries but probably not deep cycle marine). Now the batteries drained much quicker, I did a quick test to see that the engines would fire, drove to the launch and in that length of time the neither engine would fire but I could get the DESS to beep. It might be my batteries are weaker now (were out for the winter stored in heated area on boards so not on concrete) but I'm concerned about that sound because something seems to be running constantly, could that be the sensor?

Electrical problems are the hardest to find and require the most skilled techs. Most of the time, there's not a lot of parts to replace so they don't get to @#$% you on the bill. Good shops will charge for the diagnostic time. Have you got any other non-dealer PWC repair shops in your town? Might want to give them a try. If you can, check the bilge H2O sensor and the pump. You definitely want that working.
