96 Seadoo Has Broken Front Hood Latch

Not sure if thats what it is called but the compartment hood on the front has a metal latch that is riveted or in my case was riveted but it broke and I cannot figure out how to get in behind it to put bolts or bigger rivets.

Is there any trick to getting it to seperate so I can get behind it and fix it??

i need this fixed too....

my son went ass over tea kettle and the plastic hatch with two screws popped off.... i can't figure out how to get inside it re-screw this back in place

Okay so how do we fix them?? I am thinking of drilling right through the front and put a bolt with a rubber grommet on it to keep water out~!~ Any better ideas>??????????????????<

i've seen that fix, it looks mickey mouse but what else, buy a whole new front hood ?

i here ya... i've seen that fix on a couple ski's it looks donkey but other than sealing it shut with an epoxy i agree i guess
