A couple of ? where are the rave valves located. How do you pull the air box does the filter need to come out first. And can you pull the in the carb fule filters while the carbs are still in place.

hey...(1)you'll see 2 red dots, those are your raves locations,(2)there should be rectangle slide-snaps on side of airbox/lid,(3)might be possible, but highly unlikely...:cheers:

You mean the exhast valve caps with the red dot on it.with the sliding metal clamp that arcs over it to clamp it in place

hey....yep, unlatch the clip, CAREFULLY, with finger on red dot, cause a spring is underneath it. Remove the 2 allen bolts on those housings, Raves then can pull rite out...:cheers:

On my 96 xp I noticed after riding it the other day some wet exhast oil come out of one of the caps I opended it and noticed down the sprong and the cap that the spring sits on was broke. I AM GOING TO REPLACE IT BUT ITS THE oily substance normal for that area.

The oil is like water with exhaust smoke not oil it self.
