96 Sea Doo Challenger

Hello all,

This is my first post so I have no idea if I am in the right area. I have a 96 challenger that sounds like it is running fine, however it only hits about 25-30mph @ 5700rpm. Is this right? Seems like it should go faster. This is with one other passanger in the boat. It seems like it might be struggling for air? Dont know? Any guidance?

Our 96 challenger with one 110hp 800cc motor in it on the tach will run out to 6200rpm's and pull just over 40mph on the stock gauge. This is all with extra oil in the fuel for motor breaking in and one range colder plugs.(BR9's) Wear ring is all new and no cavitation.

This is with about 450#'s in the boat.
