ok i just got a 96 sea doo gtx 800cc 2 stroke and all that. The problem is the guy i got it from left the spark plugs out and water go in the motor causing it to rust. It was locked up so me and my dad put a pipe wrench on the drive shaft and some oil in the cylinder and finally got it free. It turns over good now but the oil in the crankcase still has water in it. How can i get all the oil out of the bottom of the motor with that nasty watery oil it fouls my plugs in a sec and its not good. Is there a drain plug on the bottom of the motor or what i just know i need to get it out. Also this seadoo has been sitting a year or so so i worry with the water in it and the rust in the motor will the rust mess up the crank shaft? i know the rust will wear off the cylinder walls but i worry about the crankshaft and the crankshaft bearings i wonder if they have rust on them and how bad will it hurt my motor?
thanks

syphon pump

no drian plug i have ever heard of. May have to take the top end off and remove with syphon pump. While the tops off, and you have rust, time for rebuild?

ya agreed, take the top off, then you can see any potential damage..that long with water id be afraid of water rusting some bearings on the crank...:ack:

so i guess just pump it out the spark plug holes the best i can or take the head off

Spark plug holes aint going to cut it if it is in the lower end. If just in top then you can pull plugs and crank motor till your soaked :). If the engine was froze I would really want to take the entire top end off and inspect the crank. Just me though. Others may have dif opinion

If it sat for a year with water in it, you will need to completely take the engine apart as the crank bearings will be rusted. Time for a rebuild. If you just get the water out and somehow get it to start, you will be setting yourself up for a major failure costing you a lot more.

thats my biggest worry even if it starts i think the bearings o nthe vrank wont last long i havnt actually bought it yet its a friends of mines buthe wanted 1500 for it but as that the motor needs to be rebuilt its not worth that so i will figure it out is there a write up on the forum on how ot take the top end off
thanks guys yall are help a bunch

its all just nuts and bolts, take it apart, but if it was locked up with water due to rust, do not just drain it then start it, you need to have it rebuilt, cylinders honed etc.
