'96 GTX Speed Sensor Removal

Trying to remove the speed sensor and the screws are stuck in the rivets. The rivets spin with the screws. Do I need to drill them out? Also once I get past this, do I need to remove the individual wires from the electrical connector to get the connector through the hole in the hull?

I Would Just Drill The Heads Off The Screws Since You Are Replacing It Anyway.
You Will Have To Take The Wires Out Of The Connector Plug So They Will Go Thru The Hull Fitting.

If your sure your gonna replace it then you can drill those out, but I'm not sure the new ones come with new screws so you'll need to get some. Make sure not to damage the ride plate. As for the wires, you have loosen the nut that is on the outside of the hull. Also, if your sure your gonna replace it, you can cut the wires coming from the sensor and pull it through. Make sure you don't cut the wires coming from the MPEM side. If you wanna remove the connector without cutting, Snap-On makes a wire terminal removal tool that will compress the barbs in the connector and allow them to be removed without damage. I always use a valve stem removal tool and seems to work fine and pops them right out.
