96 GTX No Display

I have a 1996 GTX that for some reason all of a sudden when I put the lanyard on nothing comes on the display. Also means I can't start it. And before anyone asks I did test the battery and its charged and I didn't take it out of the ski so it's still hooked up. The ski worked 3 weeks ago fine then went to go on Saturday and nothing would work. Any ideas out there?

Lanyard post might be failing.

But first, check the fuses in the ignition and control boxes. It is a little bit of a hassle to get into. But the problem might be as simple as a fuse.
