96 gtx electrical help!!!!!

ok another electrical problem..... I just put an sbt engine in this thing and it ran great. took it to the lake and it just died on me in the middle of the water. Got it to start again after unplugging the lanyard and took it back to the shop tested the charging system and it is not charging. i tested for a draw on the battery and there is a draw. so I started unplugging different things to see if it would stopped the draw. turned out to be the stater so i had another stator sitting here slapped it in and it is doing the same thing. I also happened to have another regulator/rectifier which i tried before i put the stator in and thats not it eather. started unplugging gauges and the black/red red/purple wires seem to kill the draw when unplugged. these wires go to a relay assembly could this relay cause a draw? could the draw cause it to not charge and also can the started cause a draw? any suggestion and/or comment would greatly be apprecited

bump this... thats how I went about trouble shooting my ski. I dont know if the wire colors are the same but on my 97 xp the wires going to the magneto are 4 yellows and two blacks I believe. Two or three go to the ignition trigger again not sure because manuals out in the garage.
