Hello. Is there a difference between the 1996 GTX drive shaft and the 1997 GTX drive shaft other than the OEM part numbers being different? During the winter I have replaced my 96 GTX engine with a 97 engine. I am using the 96 drive shaft , but when installing the new carbon seal, bellows, and floating ring, it seems the seal between the 2 are not tight. The pressure of the bellows pushing the carbon against the floating ring seems really weak. My 97 GTX feels alot stronger. While breaking the engine in, l see a little water in the bottom of the hull. Thinking it may be coming from the carbon seal
Would really appreciate some feedback.
Thanks

Go into the “winners” catalogue,,they are our ontario Canada supplier,,,look ,under drive shafts,,,they have the various lengths etc,,,of watercraft,

Hmmmmm.... I would have thought they use the same drive shaft but the part numbers are different. Strange.
272000077 = 1996 GTX
272000127 = 1997 GTX
