I got a 96 gts totally rebuilt engine and i rebuilt the carb. Also replaced the nedle and seat..It starts fine when cold but after runnin you have to hold the throttle pinned to get it to fire and once runnin it is good...I have tried setting the low speed screw and idle to help cause i thought maybe to rich on the bottom. But i cant seem to get anywhere, maybe i need new low idle screw...any suggestions would be great...

Perhaps weak spark - check spark plug wires and the connections of them on the box side. You could swap spark plugs just to see if it starts differently.

In fact, try to start with one plug wire ground to the orange block on the front of the engine. Then put the wire back on the plug and ground the other plug wire and try to start. If it starts and partially runs one way and not the other, you can tell that one is not sparking like the other.
