96 gti fuel gauge

my fuel gauge never shows full. It ranges around 1 bar to 3 bars from empty. and my speedo does not work. thanks charlie

I just purchased 96 gti. The fuel gauge will not register full. It will register around 2-4 bars from empty no matter how much fuel is in the tank. The speedometer does not work. Can you help me. Thanks Charlie

Unplug gas sensor

The wires going into the harness towards the gauge, jump them together.
Press the start button, if gauge reads full it is the sending unit!

I just put a new sending unit in my 96 gti.

Look at my posts i decribe in detail what it takes to do it.

They aren't cheap!
