I was wondering if a 1996 gsx seadoo should run faster then a 1999 gsx rfi?
My friend said the 1996 gsx runs faster cause it has carbs and the 1999 gsx rfi is fuel injection.. It both have the same engine.. What do you guys think? Should it been the same speed?

The 96 GSX (787) with the Carbs would be slightly faster and easier to fix if you had issues compared to the 99 but with todays gas prices the RFI would go through gas much slower and at 3.65 agallon thats not a bad thing.

Fuel injection....

The Rotax Fuel Injection will run the ski at optimum performance due to the fact that fuel injection systems leave little room for error. When running a carb, it would have to be dialed in perfectly to match the performance of the RFI, nickel for nickel.
Carbs are slowly but surely going by the way side. They are horrible less fuel efficient that injection. Less mistakes, less chance of running lean. They are just an all around better way of aspirating an engine........

Heh.. I know theres something wrong with my ski.. It doesnt have the speed it should..Im looking foward on checking my compression test.. I think my pistons arent so good... And maybe why it causes my engine to shake more then it should maybe... cause my motor mounts are good.. Its slow on take off and sometimes hasite to go. And its slow on top end. i even clean the raves.
