Hi,

every expert mechanic (not) that comes by and listens to my ski try to crank says the starters not engaging..big clunk at the solenoidds, i've opened the ignition box and there is no corrosion, it looks brand spanking new in there, tightened all the connections, etc.(starter), how long "estimate" to take that baby out and how do I get around the black cover on the carbs, looks like like a nightmare to get around to get to the starter bolt...

any quick tips .....

thanks:cheers:

Slide off the clips on the cover and remove it so it isn't in the way. The starter should take about 30 minutes to remove.

Once you get the clips off the cover and remove the top cover, there will be 6 screws that hold the bottom plastic tub off the carbs. Then you can reach the starter easier.

buy a set of allen head 3/8ths drive metric sockets. you are going to need the 4, 5 and 6. way easier to do anything with a ratchet than spinning an allen wrench without enough room.
