My 12v low will flash. It has been doing this since 98 shortly after I had purchased it. Doing a few tests yesterday I get around 14.16 volts at the battery while running. If i disconnect the positive cable it will die. Is this normal for this gsx? I went to Lake erie to ride and this ski just up and died, nothing but a low 12v display and a few clicks of the starter. I had the battery on a battery tender for a few days. I had forgotten to install my drain plugs while at Erie riding. (nice) There was water up over my starter which i drained with a cup. I dont know if that had any affect on what had happened. I did get it running that day while in the water and it ran for a while and then up and died again. Any Ideas?

You'll want to check the ignition module box.

If you flooded the boat, then this may have filled up with water. This would corrode the terminals and then you'll have trouble getting the solenoid to cooperate. Disconnect everything, stick it on the bench and take everything apart carefully. Scrub the terminals with a brass bristle brush and apply electrical grease.

Not a car with alternator....

Your ski is not a car with an alternator. You cannot disconnect the positive cable while the ski is running. Your taking a chance of damaging the rectifier/regulator or the mpem.
Check the charging circuit serveral times while running, to see if you get the same amount of charging volts on a continuous basis.
I think your rectifier/regulator is about to go south on you.....
