96 Challenger Nozzle - bailer tubes?

Just bought a 96 Challenger (787), pulled the pump and going over everything. I noticed the nozzle has the bailer pickup tubes like on a pwc. Is this normal, so they used the same pumps on pwcs and boats, or has someone changed the pump and I should work on removing these pickups or finding the correct nozzle?

Also, need a good straight drive shaft for this boat, if you have or know of someone who might have:

Thanks

The 140mm pumps are more or less interchangeable. The boats don't have the bailers since they come with an electric bilge pump, so if you see the tubes... it's probably a pump from something else.

Thanks.

Will this affect the efficiency of the pump? Should I cut them back and fill the holes or little to no difference?
