i have a 96 seadoo challenger that will not go over 35 with 2 people and a cooler. it starts and runs fine i guess but i just can't get any more out of it. it has a skat trak impeller swirl 14.5 degree/22.5 degree. i have the original impeller. i also look through the site and found that the rave valves should be cleaned. i just took them of tonight and the one had a mostly dry carbon build up on it and under the cap it was wet with oil. the second one when i took the bar off to take the cap off and it fell apart and the valve itself the end tips were broke off. if anyone could give any help on what i need to do i would greatly appreiciate it thank you

while the rave valves are out...

you may want to check the condition of the piston top...
I've had this happen to me...

while you have the rave valves out, pull the plugs out also. remove the grey cover over the shaft and turn the shaft until you see the piston appear in the opening of the rave valve slot. you may want to shine a flashlight in the plug hole.

what I saw was a piece of piston missing between the top ring and the top of the piston. NOT GOOD:(

It still ran ok... about 6k rpm

hope you don't see what I saw...
