To make a long story short I just ordered my 4th head pipe. Three currently laying in the garage floor with the "ears" broke off. I think I found my problem with the screws backing out as the threads in the manifold to head pipe were really, really sloppy. I have a new manifold that I just bolted on. Seeing after I already torque it in the wrong sequence and then seen I was supposed to use Loctite 515. I torqued it sequence for a 717 and covered the threads in blue Loctite. I'm about over this and definitely don't want to do it again. I've read the procedure and do I need to take it apart and redo it? Also Loctite 515? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciate it.
Updated: I removed manifold and my local Napa actually has that Loctite. I'm kind of concerned though as the gasket don't look like it even sealed. I torque to 18 lb. Also how much Loctite should I use and do I put anything on the gasket itself? New lock washers?
