951 Head Gasket Direction

Metal head gasket is smooth on one side and embossed on the other. Which one goes down? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Also this is a 2000 RX if that helps at all.

I'm not 100%, but I think it will only go on on way. Check the port holes and match them up. I believe boss side towards head.

Thank you for the help! I just figured that out today. The ski is a repo and I think someone else did some work on it and lost the dowels that align the cylinder block to the head. But your right it only goes on one way. So I have ordered a set of dowels. The only thing that sucks is it will take a week to get them!
