Hey guys, Looking at rebuilding my XP 2000. I do not want to use genuine parts unless i have to. Is their any suggestions on what brand crankshafts/pistons/gaskets to use or not use. I am currently looking at the complete Hotrods Crankshaft and the Wiseco Pistons.
Any Suggestions on a great/recommended online shop would also be wonderful.
Thanks for your Help !!

951 Rebuild

Hi MITCHVON,
I've rebuilt quite a few 951 engines over the years. I've always used HOTROD cranks and PRO-X piston kits. This combination has always worked very well for me. The machinist that bores my cylinders for me stated that the new PRO-X pistons are very uniform in size when he measures them in order to bore the cylinders and that not all companies that manufacture pistons are as as careful. I've never been a big fan of WISECO pistons. Not all gasket sets come with crank seals and you'll need new crank seals.
GOOD LUCK, DAWG
