951 DI Casing Drain Fitting

I have a 951 Did with a missing drain fitting on the bottom casing just below the Air Compressor. I'd like to find the exact fitting so I could just tap it into place. I've had the engine on this ski out a while so I'm not exactly sure which size line goes to this fitting. I believe it to be a small hose around 3/16". Here are some pictures of the casing and the fitting. I don't know what this is called... LOL Never messed with this small stuff. I've spent hours searching for the fitting. Help is appreciated.

I'm pretty sure this discussion is about the same fitting: Is this little fitting necessary?
I'm laughing reading all the wrong answers and ridiculous assumptions about this fitting. :) Just reminds me of how we all need to sift through the answers we get via the internet even from knowledgeable well meaning individuals. This is an oil drain below the compressor on the DI. If it were plugged no one would notice and the engine wouldn't notice either. This drain can become plugged over the years as well.

One of two things will happen tomorrow... I'll either find out where to get the fitting or I'll make my own.

OK OK.... :D I found a drain fitting for the compressor sump. I'm kidding... I had to MACHINE a fitting and I only had ONE brass bolt to use as material. LOL If I had more material "bigger bolt" I would have added just a bit more material. Another 1/2" of length on the bolt would have made it much easier because I had to work right up against the chuck to have enough material for what I wanted to do. It is nice to have equipment at home for sure. I drilled the fitting hole in the engine casing a little larger so I could get some strength by increasing the Outside diameter of the fitting. There isn't a lot of room for variances. I made the fitting in TWO pieces and fitted them together, made sure the hole was clear by redrilling, then installed the fitting into the bottom drain of the engine. It is fairly stout as in strong. I had to drive the pieces together and the fitting into the casing. They are snug. :D

End Result...

They are ready to be mated together. Hmmmm..... Here we go. :D

When you go to fit these two pieces together they better fit or you'll be making Two more. LOL These were a tad on the tight side but I used 609 Cylindrical Parts retaining compound to maintain a good seal and help with vibration.

After it came out of the lathe I had to drill a hole in the top/side to accept the barb fitting. Not a lot of depth but enough to hold it in place.

Any chance you could machine me one? Can we get in contact?
I would try to find the fitting. Somebody had to make it. It is too tedious to for me to make and fit into the casing. As I mentioned I drilled the casing to give me room to make the fitting stronger so it isn't a simple machine and install. Plus.... I damn sure wouldn't want to do this again. It might be time for an individual to start a business sourcing parts for these skis or having them fabricated in bulk. Shops could make this fitting but I'm not sure of the price. You might try SBT. I doubt they toss a casing for the lack of the fitting. Good Luck !
