On the 95 XP 720 can you tow or pull a tube behind you. Not really looking to tow a skier but a tube. Also I read too that wide mirrors have to be present or a spotter on the rear but this ski in incapable of both, just factory mirrors and it rolled over on me when I put two people on it. Thanks

I believe the craft has the power to do it, but in the "US", YOU MUST have a spotter facing the rear of the craft...

You have to remember that two people on the 95 xp, depending on the weight is a bit if they are heavy people. To tow a tube doesn't mean full speed either...about 15-10 mph is about right.

That's what I was thinking about the spotter and this craft is only good for one person. If I was going to try to tow though where do you hook in? I see U bolt on the back under the seat but it doesn't look too strong. I got to thinking that wouldn't the wieght pull the hook out and damage the hull? I think that is there just to tie the ski to the trailer. Thanks

I believe that on the back of the hull below the rub rail are two hooks that need a harness from side to side and connect the tube tow to the center of the two.

There are no hooks but I did read in my manual that the stern eyelit can be used to tow. If anybody has done this let me know how it works. Thanks for help.

Skis and tubes

I have the 96 XP, and same thing, flips over if I put 2 people on it, unless I take off really fast from a dock. If we sit still, rolls over...

Dad pulled me up on 2 skis a couple weekends back, no problem. No spotter, and stock mirrors. Did it off the beach, and there is very lax lawman supervision around here. It was not legal, but was fun, and worked just fine.

And I am 215lbs, and it pulled me right up out of the water with no problems. Dad driving is similar weight, maybe a little heavier. Ski is rated for only 300 lbs, I think...

My suggestion is bring a small nephew or cousin, someone under 90 lbs, put them on the back facing the skier, and I think you might be legal, and that little person may not flip the ski over.

:agree: with Scooper77515 Yes, the eyelits on the stern below the rub rail.

Thanks Scooper. I am in Greece on duty for the DOD and the laws differ here somewhat. If I get caught I could just tell them I didn't know or hey I have mirrors for spotting. Also your ski the 96, does that have the 787? Mine is the 720 but it might be alright for pulling. Thanks for the help

I am going to go ahead and try it and see if it works. How do I tie the ski rope to the eyelet? Do I need tow harness, shock tube or ski eye? I know some models have the ski eye upgrade but I don't recall seeing one for the XP. Also looking at the Airhead Tiger Tow kit with tube rope and pump. Thanks

Mine has 787, 110 hp. 463 lbs.

Yours has 85 hp and 412 lbs.

Not too much difference...GO FOR IT!!!
