95 XP Fuel Gauge Issue

I have a 95 XP 720. The thing runs mint but the Fuel Gauge on the multi purpose gauge stopped working all of a sudden. It lights up wen I turn the ski on but then the Fuel Light just comes on and no fuel bars. Tank is full. Anyone ever see this? Could this be the fuel sending unit in the tank?
