hello guys... i have a 95 xp bombardier..
i took it this past weekend to the river and had some issues with it.. in the trailer the seadoo started right up and had no issues.. once i was in the water.. it was acting up, not wanting to start.. fresh battery, new spark plugs, 91 octane fuel, and oil... i hit the start button for a few seconds couple times at a time until it started.. once it was running i had my way with it.. but when i fell same issue..to the point that it would drain my battery.... i could not find the reason why it had a delayed start.. t kind of sounded like fuel was not getting to it.. .. but once it did start i had to let it it and idle for a good 30 seconds until it kick in.. like if it was chocked.. please help

Probably got some clogged carb filters and gummed up lines. Replace the fuel lines and clean the carbs and you should be good.

sounds to me like your needle and seats are bad in the carbs. so when you shut it off it drips fuel in the intake and floods it. next time you start it dont give it any gas.

just hit the start button and see if it fires any faster.

Another thing it could be is a worn RV cover. Check your rotary valve clearance. If it's more than .016" (spec is .010" - .014") you will experience stalling, rough idle and hard starting when hot. But first I would try what All Things Custom said as that is most likely. Test your needles & seats for leakage with a pop off tester at 2-3 lbs lower than the pop off pressure.

Another thing to check is the RPM at idle.

For the XP it should be 3000 out of water or 1500 in the water. Last year my GTX was idling too fast. I made an adjustment out of water and when I got it in the water it wouldn't start. I turned up the idle screw a small amount (1/8 to 1/4 turn) and it fired up and ran perfect (although still idling a little too fast).

I do agree with the other guys though. You probably have some carb issues (dirt, floats, etc).
