95 sportster good deal or not?

Hi all new member here just want to get some advice and see what your guys opinions are. I'm looking at buying a 95 sportster jet boat. The guy wants 200 bucks for it and the trailer. It does need reuhpolstered and the engine rebuilt. He has the rebuild kit for the engine already it just needs rebored to fit the new pistons. It has set for a couple years so i know it will need a good cleaning. Oh and he already has the engine and jet unit pulled out of it.

Do you guys think this is a decent deal and is there anything i should look at when i go look at it?

So thats a good price and he doesnt have the title to the trailer but i'm pretty sure he has the title for the boat. what would it be worth if i got it cleaned up and rebuilt?

you better make sure it has a title for the boat or its worthless here in Missouri to me
get a state certified bill of sale on the trailer and then you can register it as a home made trailer check with your nearest dmv
as far as the boat it has 1 engine-not a power house like the speedster twin engine boat but will be worth buying for 200.00 you could part it for way more than that
cleanedup and running you can easly get 2000.00-2500.00
I say go for it if the boat has a title

i'm gonna try to get ahold of him to see if he can find the title and after thinkin bout what he said the boat was doing i'm wondering if it just needed a new wear ring instead of the engine rebuilt.

Don't expect much for $200.00, the guy, or his wife, probably just wants it hauled off.

I do know it was on the lake at least 2 years ago so i gues thats a plus.

Finally got a chance to go look at the boat its dirty but the hull seems to be in good shape no cracks but some scuffs.

The engine is a different story..... the rear piston looks as though it melted and the front has a chunk missing. The cylinder head needs replaced too but the engine still turns over by hand so I think the bottom end is ok. I think im gonna pull the trigger and get it cus I saw a hull of the same model go for 200 around here and that was just a bare hull.
