'95 spi overheating w good telltale spray?

I have just purchased 2 '95 seadoo spi with the 580 engine (I think). One bogged down shortly after startup and within 1 minute was overheating(alarm). Telltale was spray was noticeably stronger on engine bleed hose. water spray was very warm. The other unit ran quite cool to the touch. I would be grateful for any help determining the nature of my problem.

compare the 2 skis water plumbing. sounds like the hot one is hooked up wrong.
