Hi everyone,

have finally got to the rebuuilding of the first of 4 boats we have and am looking for recomdnedations on batteries for the 95 speedster. Being a Twin engine i know i need to but what woulod be best. Also being in Australia im hoping some of the Aussie members can help out with the request also.

Incidently what were the original batteries to be sent with the Speedsters?

Also if you could recommend the batteries with the additional knowledge that i will be adding a small sounds system. 1 amp, Cd/ Tuner and 4 six inch speakers.

Cheers,

Ugly Situation

The 2 batteries can be replaced with a single battery see this write up:

However you then lose the feature of having a spare battery in case one dies.
Sears Die Hard 16CL-B battery is a replacement for the stock battery. Make sure to wire battery tenders onto them, to keep them charged.

I use these batteries, with a redarc smart solinoid between them. Being an AGM battery they charge fast and have good cranking amps for tuning motors over. Have had one for a year now but changed to two this winter.

I worked in car audio for 12 years and these were the batteries we recommended. They have very low internal resistance so good for audio response.
