95 speedster looking for right engine

Bought a 95 speedster and the right engine is locked up. Got a price on a reman. but hoping I can find a better deal on a used engine. Can anyone help me out?

You have a657x? I really doubt it in the used market for a good engine. They stopped them in late 90's making new. Most used ones would have lots of hours on them. The best deal will be a reman unless you found someone who crashed a ski or something like that.

In central Arkansas that would be doubtful. $1100 for complete reman swap. Labor and all. Decent price?

$1100.00 for a reman with labor isn't bad. A SBT Premium reman is $ 795.00 plus labor to install. What kind of warranty does your reman come with? SBT has a two year no fault.

You but a rebuilt engine and pay a bit more for a no fault coverage.

It does not matter why or what causes a failure. You simply get a replacement engine.

Another member just had an issue where it seems to have overheated. They have him a replacement no questions asked.

I had my engine rebuilt, messed the install and rIonescu the top end. I told them it was my fault, and they fixed it quickly at no cost to me. THAT is no fault warranty. Most places have warranties, but so many conditions that you end up paying for

You can throw a hand full of sand in the engine.... remove the oil hoses... and piss in it for good measure. Then... when it blows up... they give you a new engine.

A clean '95 is worth about $3500. (at the beginning of summer)


But... and SBT engine with the 2 year warranty will come with the "Install Kit".

He is getting it out of some place in Florida and comes with the "no fault"

SBT is in Florida. Tell him to get the 2 year engine, and it comes with the kit. So... for $150 more... you get an extra year of warranty.
